Hey there 👋 and welcome to my Medium profile! My name is Ahmed.
This blog is a collection of thoughts and projects about some of my favorite subjects: machine learning, software engineering, Python, and general programming tips.
What does motivate me to write? 🤔
Passively reading about a topic doesn’t make you master the craft. It’s only when you get your hands dirty and confront the fear of the inexperience that you grow.
I learned this the hard way throughout my career and that’s why I started writing technical articles. I profoundly feel that writing forces me to reorganize my thoughts and better understand the subjects I write about.
Writing is an intellectual process that can be hard. I do however see it as a challenge as well as a journey through self-improvement.
Writing is an efficient way of checking your understanding of the subject matter.

In a few words
I’m currently a freelance data scientist based in France 🇫🇷.
Previously, I was a machine learning engineer at a French scale-up and before that, I worked as a data scientist in a consulting company for more than five years.
In my spare time, I like crafting machine learning projects and learning new technical subjects as well as playing with . Medium is one way to share this journey with the world.
How does this look in practice?
Well, whenever I try a new library, get to know a new concept, or build an open-source project, I blog about it here: I describe the project, document it, and provide the code to the reader after open-sourcing it.
